Steven

My illustrations are realistic and detailed and have spanned Book illustration, Advertising, Marketing, Editorial, Wine Labels, Beer labels, Medical and Mapping. I aspire to maintain and deliver quality by fully understanding the client’s needs. Although my preference is pure oil painting on canvas, usually I combine traditional media with digital - my hand-drawn illustrations are scanned and completed in Photoshop using a Wacom digitiser.

Adobe Illustrator - vector illustration and maps.
Photoshop - Illustration.
Painter - simulation of traditional media.
Maxon Cinema 4d (16) - 3D renderings.

Rudi

My name is Rudi and I grew up at the mouth of the Breede River on a farm. Ive always had a fervent interest in the power of visual constructions and as a child was deeply intrigued by the layout of magazines.

This obsession with design led me to study photolithography, after which I worked in the printing industry for six years. It was during this time that I met an architect who introduced me to the craft of making artistic impressions of architectural projects.

Instantly attracted to the vocation, I began dabbling in Photoshop. It wasn't long before I discovered 3D modeling and became hooked on developing digital artworks.

Working primarily in Photoshop and Maxon Cinema 4D, I combine photographs with 3D-modelled elements to build my artworks. The key thing I try to create a space where the viewer can develop their own story about what they see. My images are meant to invoke emotions and thought.
